we needkhz crystal for our project but its nnot available in market. but 4Mhz crystal is available.how to divide that without affecting its range ,q-factor etc....

I'm not sure if I understand the application. Can you be explicit on the application. If you use a straight up divider (divide by 1000) you should be ok.

we are doing ultrasonic motion detector.for that we need 40khz crystal,but that is not available now.but they are available in Mhz range. nearest available is 32khz.

You can use 40MHz crystal and divide by 1000 to get 40kHz

There are 38 KHz crystals widely available in the markets.I hope this can help..
