Does anyone know how to change the text editor in spctre? When I view netlists, it uses the Cadence editor (which I despise). In can change the editor in the CIW, but it doesn't affect the ADE window

Try in CIW windoweditor="nedit" or "kate" or "gedit" (your choice of editor. Please open the content for read/write in cadence

Yeah, I did this and it works for analog artist (verilog or ams models) but I want to look at the netlist from ADE in another editor and that does not seem to be set by this variable

The only other option I see is to use terminal window to access the netlist.

I thought you could set the editor variable in .cdsinit or .cdsenv? This post says you can set this in the CIW command line, as well, which means it should work in .cdsinit...http://esdcad.ecs.soton.ac.uk/bin/view/Knowledgebase/KBArticle_ReubenWilcock_20050303_1229
