MIAMI -- Former Kentucky guard DeAndre Liggins is back in the NBA with the Miami Heat after felony domestic violence charges against him were recently dropped in Oklahoma City. Liggins signed a 10-day contract with the Heat and joined them for practice Tuesday. He had been playing for the Heats NBA Development League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. "We did extensive research on everything about him, on the court, off the court," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "Everything checked out fine. We feel weve gotten to know him very well, especially our Sioux Falls staff. Based our evaluations, we felt it was time to take a look at him and get to know him." Liggins has played in 56 NBA games for Oklahoma City and Orlando. He was originally charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of domestic abuse in the presence of a minor and one count of violating a protective order. He was arrested in August after his girlfriend told police he attacked her in front of their 2-year-old son. Prosecutors are expected to refile the charge as a single misdemeanour count of domestic abuse. "We all make mistakes, unfortunately," Liggins said. "I learned from it and I moved past that, and Im ready to get back on track." In 35 games with Sioux Falls, Liggins averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.5 steals, and he made the leagues all-star team. Wholesale Jerseys From China. -- Instead of being benched against southpaws, Curtis Granderson is thriving against them this season. Cheap NFL Jerseys China.com) - Top seed Richard Gasquet advanced to the final of the Kremlin Cup with a semifinal win Saturday, but second-seeded Andreas Seppi came up short in defense of his title. http://www.nflcheapjerseysforsale.com/. -- Charlie Graham stopped 67 shots as the Belleville Bulls edged the visiting Guelph Storm 6-5 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action. Cheap Jerseys free shipping. -- Ned Yost wasnt sure whether the Kansas City Royals needed a relatively easy wire-to-wire win to finally exhale after an often-difficult start to the season. Wholesale Jerseys. Donald Brown ran for two touchdowns, Andrew Luck added another and the Colts rallied yet again, this time beating the Tennessee Titans 30-27 on Thursday night. GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers starting running back DuJuan Harris is out for the year after injuring his right knee last week against the Seahawks. Harris said Tuesday he hurt the patella tendon and hoped to have surgery soon as he heads to injured reserve status. He hurt the same knee during the off-season. "It is what it is, you know? Its something Ive got to go through and must be done," said Harris, who appeared to be in good spirits at his locker given the prognosis. The knee appeared to bother Harris after he was flipped over near the sideline by a defender during the 17-10 preseason loss Friday night to Seattle. Harris said the knee was troubling him before that play. "I kind of knew it. But I didnt think it was going to be season-over trouble," he said. "But its for the best. If its for the best and better long-term, hey, Im all for it." Harris wasnt sure about his timeline as of Tuesday afternoon, but suggested it might take about six months to recover. He was one of four Packers placed on injured reserve Tuesday, the deadline to trim rosters to 75. Coach Mike McCarthy was a big supporter after the running back secured the starting job down the stretch last season with 157 yards and two touchdowns in four games. Harris was signed to the practice squad in October and joined the active roster in December following a slew of injuries in the backfield. But 2013 has been tough without Harris ever seeing a regular seasonn snap.dddddddddddd. In June, a team physical revealed Harris had a fist-sized cyst on his lung. It was drained and removed the next day, and Harris returned home the following day. It was the only other time he had undergone surgery in his career. The loss of Harris potentially means more carries for second-round draft pick Eddie Lacy out of Alabama. He and Harris were being counted on to solidify the running game. "It sucks, honestly," All-Pro guard Josh Sitton said about losing Harris. "He was going to be a big part of this offence. Youve got to move on ... The other guys will step up and play. Eddie (Lacy) is going to be a big factor for us." Notes: As expected, starting LT Bryan Bulaga (knee) was also placed on injured reserve, along with WR Kevin Dorsey and LB Jarvis Reed. Placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list were S Sean Richardson, DE Jerel Worthy and tackles Derek Sherrod and JC Tretter ... Veteran incumbent Mason Crosby won the kicking derby after rookie free agent Zach Ramirez was released just two days after arriving in Green Bay. Crosby hit all 14 of his attempts at practice Tuesday, including a 64-yarder, while Ramirez had a rough afternoon, hitting only one-third of his roughly 16 attempts. Kicker Giorgio Tavecchio, who was brought in earlier in camp to compete with Crosby, was released Monday, though McCarthy hasnt ruled out bringing Tavecchio back. ' ' '
